Asad ibn Haritha

's: Asad ibn Harithah ibn Ludhan al-Ansari al-Sa'di. This is how Abu Nu'aym mentioned him, and I think he is ibn Ludhan ibn 'Abd Wudd ibn Zayd ibn Tha'labah ibn al-Khazraj ibn Sa'idah ibn Ka'b ibn al-Khazraj ibn al-Harith ibn al-Khazraj al-Akbar.

Narrated to us Abu Musa by way of permission, who said: Narrated to us Abu al-Husayn 'Ali ibn Tabataba al-'Alawi and Abu Bakr Muhammad ibn Abi Qasim al-Qurani and Abu Ghalib al-Kushaydzi, who said: Narrated to us Abu Bakr ibn Ribdah.

H said Abu Musa: And narrated to us Abu 'Ali al-Haddad, who said: Narrated to us Abu Nu'aym, who said: Narrated to us Sulayman ibn Ahmad, who said: Narrated to us al-Hasan ibn Harun, who said: Narrated to us Muhammad ibn Ishaq al-Musaybi, who said: Narrated to us Muhammad ibn Flih, quoting Musa ibn 'Uqbah, quoting Ibn Shihab, when naming those martyred on the Day of al-Jisr from among the Ansar, then from Banu Sa'dah: Asad ibn Harithah ibn Ludhan.

And al-Jisr was during the time of 'Umar ibn al-Khattab.
