Biography of Anis ibn Atik

S: Anis ibn 'Atik al-Ansari, and it is said: Aws.

Abu Musa ibn 'Umar al-Asfahani informed us, in writing, Abu Ghaleb al-Kushidi informed us, Abu Bakr ibn Zayd informed us, Sulayman ibn Ahmad informed us, Muhammad ibn 'Amr ibn Khalid al-Harani informed us, my father informed us, Ibn Lah'ia informed us, from Abu al-Aswad, from 'Urwah, regarding the naming of those who were killed on the day of the Bridge of Medina from the Ansar of Banu 'Abd al-Ashhal, then from Banu Zura'ah: Anis ibn 'Atik ibn 'Amir, Muhammad ibn Ishaq mentioned him and named him Aws.

He was transmitted by Abu Musa.

His statement: The Bridge of Medina: Perhaps the one who thinks that some days of the Muslims with the Persians is called the Bridge of Medina, it is not so, it is the day of the Bridge where Abu 'Ubaid al-Thaqafi, the father of al-Mukhtar, was killed, and it is also the day of Qas al-Nataf, and it is said: the Bridge of Abu 'Ubaid, because he was the commander of the army, and he was killed there.
