Ibn Habbah narrated to us Abū Yāsir ʿAbd al-Wahhāb ibn Hibah Allāh ibn Abī Ḥabbah, narrated to us Abū al-Ḥasan ʿAlī ibn Muḥammad ibn al-Ḥusayn ibn Ḥasnūn, narrated to us Abū Muḥammad Aḥmad ibn ʿAlī ibn al-Ḥasan ibn Muḥammad ibn Abī ʿUthmān al-Daqqāq, narrated to us Qāḍī Abū al-Qāsim al-Ḥasan ibn ʿAlī ibn al-Munzir, narrated to us Ḥusayn ibn Ṣafwān, narrated to us Abū Bakr ibn Abī al-Dunyā, narrated to us Yūnus ibn ʿAbd al-Raḥīm al-ʿAsqalānī, narrated to us ʿAmr ibn Abī Salamah, narrated to us Ṣadaqah ibn ʿAbd Allāh, on the authority of ʿAbd Allāh ibn ʿAlī al-Qurashī, on the authority of Sulaimān ibn Ḥabīb al-Muharibī, who said: Ḥadathnī Al-Aswad ibn Asram al-Muharibi, said: I said: O Messenger of Allah, give me some advice, he said: Do you control your hand? I said: What can I control if I do not control my hand? he said: Do you control your tongue? I said: What can I control if I do not control my tongue? he said: Do not extend your hand except for good, and do not speak with your tongue except for what is good.
