Al-Aswad ibn Yazid

B S: Al-Aswad ibn Yazid ibn Qays ibn Abdallah ibn Malik ibn Alqama ibn Salam ibn Kahl ibn Bakr ibn Auf ibn al-Nakh' al-Nakh'i met the Prophet ﷺ as a Muslim but did not see him, and it is reported that he said: Mu'adh judged in Yemen during the lifetime of the Prophet ﷺ, regarding a man who left behind a daughter and a sister, and he gave the daughter half and the sister half.

This Al-Aswad was a companion of Ibn Mas'ud, and he was the brother of Abd al-Rahman ibn Yazid, and the nephew of Alqama ibn Qays. He was older than Alqama, and he was the uncle of Ibrahim ibn Yazid. His mother was Malikah bint Yazid al-Nakh'i.
