Al-Agharr ibn Yasar

d ': al-Aghar ibn Yisār al-Juhanī has a companionship.

Abū Burdah ibn Abī Mūsá and others narrated on his authority; he is counted among the people of Kūfah.

'Amr ibn Marrah narrated on the authority of Abū Burdah, on the authority of al-Aghar on the authority of the Prophet ﷺ that he said: I indeed seek forgiveness from Allāh seventy times a day.

This is the meaning of what Ibn al-Mundah said.

Abū 'Umar made this and al-Muzanī one and said: al-Aghar al-Muzanī, and it is said: al-Juhanī, and they are one. He has a companionship; the people of Baṣrah narrated on his authority: Abū Burdah and others; and it is said: Ibn 'Umar narrated on his authority. He said: It was said that Sulaymān ibn Yisār narrated on his authority, but it does not verify. Abū 'Umar made this and the previous one one.

Abū Nu'aym said: al-Aghar ibn Yisār al-Muzanī, and it was said: al-Juhanī; he is counted among the Kūfīs.

Abū Burdah and others narrated on his authority; and he mentioned the hadith:

Akhbaranā bihi Abū al-Faḍl 'Abd Allāh ibn Aḥmad, akhbaranā Abū Sa'd al-Muṭarriz ijāzah, akhbaranā Abū Nu'aym Aḥmad ibn 'Abd Allāh al-Ḥāfiẓ wa Abū 'Abd Allāh al-Ḥusayn ibn Ibrāhīm al-Jammāl, they said: akhbaranā 'Abd Allāh ibn Ja'far, on the authority of Yūnus ibn Ḥabīb, akhbaranā Abū Dāwūd al-Ṭayālisī, on the authority of Shu'bah, on the authority of 'Amr ibn Marrah, on the authority of Abū Burdah, on the authority of al-Aghar al-Muzanī, that he heard the Prophet ﷺ say: O people, repent to your Lord, for I indeed repent to Him one hundred times a day.
