Busr as-Sulami

Busr was the same as Abu Raffi' al-Sulami.

He said Ibn Mākūlah, in Bashīr with the ba' of Bashīr being a single ba', and the shīn being a dotless shīn.

He said: Bashīr al-Sulami, from the Prophet ﷺ: A fire will emerge from a prison.

His son Raffi' narrated from him, and his hadith had many variations, and there was also variation in his name, it was said to be what we mentioned, and it was said: Bashīr, meaning: with a ba' that is open, and it was said: Bashīr, meaning: without a yā', and it was said: Busr with a ba' that is a dammah and a sīn that is a sun letter, and he is mentioned in his places.
