Biography of Bashir ibn Anas
B: Aban was also known as such, and he was the son of Anas ibn Umayya ibn Amir ibn Jashm ibn Haritha ibn al-Harith ibn al-Khazraj ibn Umar ibn Malik ibn al-Aws al-Ansari al-Awsi.
He witnessed the Battle of Uhud, as Abu 'Umar said.

S: Bashir al-Ansari was mentioned by Abu Musa, who said: 'Abdan mentioned him among those who were martyred on the day of the Well of Ma'una, which is a water source for the Banu Amir.' Abu Musa mentioned this.
Ma'una: With a fat-ha (open) 'mim' and a madd (lengthened) 'ain and a nun.

A S: Bashir ibn Taym was mentioned by Muhammad ibn 'Uthman ibn Abu Shayba in al-Wahdan.
We were informed by Abu Musa, with permission, that we were informed by al-Hasan ibn Ahmad, that we were informed by Ahmad ibn 'Abd Allah al-Hafiz, that we were informed by Muhammad ibn Ahmad, that we were informed by Muhammad ibn 'Uthman ibn Abu Shayba, that Minjab narrated to us, that 'Abd Allah ibn al-Ajlakh informed us, from his father, from Ikrima, from Bashir ibn Taym, that the Prophet ﷺ sent a different type of ransom to the people of Badr, and he said to al-Abbas: 'Free your soul.'
