Biography of Thur ibn Tulyadah

S: Thaur ibn Tilida al-Asadi from Asad ibn Khuzaimah.

He was mentioned by Abu Uthman al-Saraaji in al-Afrad.

He narrated with his isnad, from Asim ibn Bahdal, who said: We used to consider: the Banu Asad, seven of the Muhajireen on the Day of Badr, and among us was a man called: Thaur ibn Tilida, who reached the age of one hundred and twenty, he met Muawiya, so he sent to him, and he said: Who of my ancestors did you meet? He said: I met Umayya ibn Abd Shams in his presence, then I met him when he had become blind, and he was led by a slave of his called: Dhakwan, and sometimes Abu Mu'ait led him.
