Biography of Hassan ibn Shaddad

Dhahabi: Hassan b. Shaddad b. Shahab b. Zuhayr b. Rabi'a b. Abi al-Aswad al-Tamimi al-Ta'hi. His son Nahshal narrated from him, as did his mother. He was counted among the Arabs of Basra. His son Nahshal narrated from him, that he said: My mother visited the Messenger of Allah and said: O Messenger of Allah, I have come to you to ask you to invoke blessings upon this son of mine, and to make him a good and blessed person.

So he wiped his face, and said: 'O Allah, bless them both in him, and make him a great and good person.'

He was narrated by Ibn Mandah and Abu Nu'aym. Ibn Mandah mentioned his lineage as we have mentioned it, and I know him as Shaddad b. Zuhayr b. Shahab. Allah knows best.
