Biography of Husayn ibn Wahwuh
Husayn ibn Wahh al-Ansari al-Awsi, whose lineage was mentioned by his father Wahh.
Husayn's hadith was narrated by Urwa ibn Sa'id, from his father, from Husayn ibn Wahh: that Talhah ibn al-Bara' when he met the Prophet ﷺ used to cling to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and kiss his feet, so he said: O Messenger of Allah, inform me of what you wish, and I will not disobey you in any matter.
The Messenger of Allah ﷺ laughed at this, and he was a young boy, so he said to him at that time: 'Go and kill your father.'
Husayn went out, intending to do so, but the Prophet ﷺ called him back and said: 'I did not send you to sever kinship.'
Talhah then fell ill, and the Messenger of Allah ﷺ visited him in the winter, in cold and gloom, and when he departed, he said: 'I see that Talhah has been afflicted with death, so inform me about him so that I may pray over him, and hasten to him.'
The Messenger of Allah ﷺ did not reach the Banu Salim until Talhah had died, and night had fallen, so he said: 'Bury me and join me with my Lord, and do not inform the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, for I fear for him the Jews, and that they may harm him because of me.'
The Prophet ﷺ was informed when he awoke, so he came and stood over his grave, and the people stood with him, then he raised his hands and said: 'O Allah, take Talhah to Yourself, and You are laughing at him, while he is laughing at You.'
