Kharshah

B: Kharsa al-Shami had companionship, said Abu 'Umar: So said Abu Hatim, and made him other than Kharsa ibn al-Harith, said: Abu Kathir al-Muharibi narrated from him.

I said: This is the speech of Abu 'Umar, and there is no doubt that there is an error in it, for Abu Kathir al-Muharibi narrates from Kharsa ibn al-Harith the hadith of the fitnah which 'Umar pointed to in Kharsa ibn al-Harith, then Abu 'Umar said in the first: He is a Himsi, said in this: He is a Shami, so it became clear that they are one, and Allah knows.
