Biography of Dh'u'ayb ibn Kulayb

B S: Dhū 'Iyb ibn Kali'b ibn Rabi'ah al-Khawlani was the first person from Yemen to embrace Islam, so the Prophet ﷺ named him 'Abd Allah.

The liar Asad ibn al-Harith had thrown him into the fire for believing in the Prophet ﷺ, but the fire did not harm him.

The Prophet ﷺ mentioned this to his Companions.

He was similar to Abraham the Friend, as reported by Ibn Wahb, from Ibn Lahi'ah.

This was narrated by Abu 'Umar and Abu Musa, but Abu Musa said:

He said: We do not know of any meeting with him.

However, he was mentioned in a Marfu' Hadith, as reported by Ibn Lahi'ah, mentioning his Islam and what Allah had exempted him from.
