Zayd ibn al-Muzayyin

BAS: Zayd b. al-Muzayn b. Qays b. 'Adi ibn Umayya b. Khudayra b. 'Awf b. al-Harith b. al-Khazraj al-Khazraji, then from Banu al-Harith said Ibn Shihab, and Muhammad b. Ishaq in those who witnessed Badr: Zayd b. al-Zayn, and so he was named by 'Abd Allah b. Muhammad b. 'Umarah al-Ansari known as Ibn al-Qudah, and he was named by al-Waqidi: Yayzid b. al-Muzayn, and so he was said by Abu Sa'id al-Sakuni.

And the Messenger of Allah ﷺ paired him with Mas'ud b. Athatha, when he paired the Muhajirun and the Ansar when the Muhajirun came to Medina, and it was narrated by 'Urwah b. al-Zubayr: Zayd b. al-Murrah, the last of which is sin, and it was mentioned before this with the ra' and sin, and this translation is with the za and the last is ya and nun.

It was narrated by Abu Na'im, and Abu 'Umar, and Abu Musa, and Abu Musa said, from Abu Na'im: like this he mentioned with the jim, meaning justice, and it is actually Khudayra and Khudhayra, two clans of the Ansar, both with the kh.

I saw in the handwriting of al-Ash'ari al-Maghribi, who is one of the virtuous, on the margin of al-Isti'ab: al-Muzayn with the damma on the mim and the kasra on the ya, and in the clear origin from the sirah: Muzayn with the kasra on the mim and the sukun on the ya, and it was corrected by ad-Darqutni: Muzayn, meaning with the damma on the mim and the fatha on the za and the sukun on the ya, and the same was said by Ibn Makula.
