Biography of Zayd ibn Tha'labah
T: Zayd ibn Thabit ibn Abd al-Rahman al-Ansari al-Khazraji reported from his son Abdullah, the caller to prayer.
Thus Abu Nuaim here names him, and in his son: Abdullah.
Ibn Mandah and Abu Umar in his son, said: Abdullah ibn Zayd ibn Thabit ibn Abd al-Rahman ibn Zayd ibn Jashm ibn al-Harith ibn al-Khazraj, and mentioned him in detail in his son Abdullah, God willing.
Abd al-Aziz ibn Muhammad reported from Ubayd Allah ibn Umar from Bashir ibn Muhammad ibn Abd Allah ibn Zayd from Abdullah ibn Zayd who called the prayer, that he gave away in charity a wealth he had, which belonged to no one else, he and his son lived from it, so he sent it to the Messenger of Allah so his father came to the Messenger of Allah and said: O Messenger of Allah, indeed Abdullah ibn Zayd gave away his wealth in charity, and it was the wealth in which he and his son lived.
So the Messenger of Allah called Abdullah ibn Zayd, and said: 'Indeed Allah has accepted your charity, and returned it as an inheritance for your parents.'
Bashir said: So they inherited it.
