Zayd b. Luqayt al-Qaynqaa'i

Abu Yasir b. Abu Habba informed us, with his isnad to Yunus b. Bukayr, from Ibn Ishaq, who said: He told me Asim b. Umar b. Qatada, who said: Then the Messenger of Allah, peace be upon him, traveled until he was at a certain point on the road, meaning the road to Tabuk, his camel strayed, so his companions went out in search of it, and with the Messenger of Allah, peace be upon him, was Umarah b. Hazm al-Ansari, and in his saddlebag was Zayd b. Luqayt, and he was a hypocrite, so Zayd said: Is Muhammad not claiming to be a prophet, and informing you of the news of the sky, while he does not know where his camel is? So the Messenger of Allah, peace be upon him said, with Umarah b. Hazm present: 'A man said: This is Muhammad, informing you that he is a prophet, and informing you of the news of the sky, while he does not know where his camel is, and by Allah, I do not know except what Allah has taught me, and He has guided me to it, and it is in the valley, having been caught by a tree with its branch,' so they set out, and they brought it to him, and Umarah returned to his saddlebag, and informed them of what the Messenger of Allah, peace be upon him, had said from the man's news, so a man from those in Umarah's saddlebag said: Zayd said that before you came, so Umarah turned towards Zayd, embracing him, and saying: There is a hypocrite in my saddlebag, and I do not know, get out from me, O enemy of Allah, and by Allah, do not accompany me said Ibn Ishaq: Some people said that Zayd repented, and some said: He did not repent until he died.
