Biography of Shahr ibn Badham
Shahr ibn Bazam.
The Prophet ﷺ appointed him over San‘a. When al-Aswad al-Ansi claimed prophethood, Shahr killed him, and Shahr was killed 25 nights after al-Aswad's emergence. Al-Aswad married Shahr's wife, whose name was Azad, and she was the daughter of Umm Firoz al-Dimilmi. She was among those who assisted in al-Aswad's killing.
He is mentioned by al-Tabari and others.
