Reported to us Abū Mūsā, by way of permission, reported to us Abū Nu'aym 'Ubayd Allāh ibn al-Ḥasan al-Ḥaddād, by way of permission, reported to us Ismā'īl ibn 'Abd al-Ghaffār, reported to us Aḥmad ibn al-Ḥusayn ibn 'Alī, reported to us Muḥammad ibn 'Abd Allāh al-Ḥākim, who informed me: Ja'far ibn Lāhiz ibn Qurayṭ, from Sulaymān ibn Kathīr al-Khuzā'ī, and he is the grandfather of Ja'far, the father of his mother, from his father Kathīr, from his father As'ad ibn 'Abd Allāh ibn Mālik ibn Afṣá al-Khuzā'ī, said: The Messenger of Allāh ﷺ said: The most beloved of religions to Allāh is the Ḥanīfiyyah, which is lenient, and when you see my Ummah not saying to the oppressor: 'You are an oppressor,' then they have bid farewell to it.
