Biography of Aq'as ibn Salamah
'Aqqas ibn Salama, and it was said: Salama al-Hanafi al-Suhmi.
He is considered from the people of Yamama, and he was one of the delegations to the Prophet ﷺ, along with Talq ibn Ali, Salim ibn Hanthala, and Ali ibn Shayban, all of whom were from the Banu Suhaym ibn Murra ibn Adi ibn Hudhayfa ibn al-Hanafiya ibn Lujaym ibn Sa'b ibn Ali ibn Bakr ibn Wail, a branch of the Banu Hanifa.
His hadith was narrated by al-Manhal ibn Abdullah ibn Sabra ibn Huwayth, from his father, who said: I witnessed 'Aqqas ibn Salama bringing the water that the Prophet ﷺ sent to be used for washing the mosque of Qaran.
Others narrated it similarly, and they said: al-Qaysar ibn Salama, which is not authentic.
They all agreed on this.
