Aws ibn Khudam

Dhahabi: Aws ibn Khudham was one of the six who stayed behind from the expedition to Tabuk. He tied himself to a pillar in the mosque of the Messenger of Allah to stay behind, and Allah revealed about him and his companions: ﴿وَآخَرُونَ اعْتَرَفُوا بِذُنُوبِهِمْ خَلَطُوا عَمَلا صَالِحًا وَآخَرَ سَيِّئًا﴾, and the names of the six are: Aws ibn Khudham, Abu Lababah, Tha'labah ibn Wadi'ah, Ka'b ibn Malik, Mararah ibn al-Rabi', and Hilal ibn Umayyah, and it is said: that Abu Lababah tied himself because of the Banu Quraizah, and his kunyah will be mentioned when his name is mentioned, and his kunyah, if Allah wills.
