D: Atiyyan is unknown, said Ibn Mandah: there is doubt in the chain of narration of his hadith.

Related by Abu Abdullah al-Ja'fi, from Muhammad ibn Suqah, from As'ad ibn Atiyyan al-Ansari, from his father, that he heard the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) after he heard the muezzin, and he said the same as he said.

said Ibn Mandah: this hadith is strange and is only known through this route, Ibn Mandah alone brought this translation.

As for Abu Naim, he brought this hadith in the biography of Atiyyan and his father Abu al-Haytham, and said: there is doubt in this and the one before it.
