Badil ibn Salamah

B S: Badil ibn Salama ibn Khalaf ibn Amr ibn Al-Habb ibn Muaqis ibn Habtar ibn Adi ibn Salul ibn Ka'b ibn Amr ibn Rabi'a, and he is Lahi ibn Haritha Al-Khuzai Al-Saluli, and he is Badil ibn Umm As-Salam, she is the daughter of Al-Ajlam ibn Dandana ibn Amr ibn Al-Qain ibn Razah ibn Amr ibn Sa'd ibn Ka'b ibn Amr ibn Rabi'a Al-Khuzai also, and his mother: Hiyah bint Hashim ibn Abd Manaf ibn Qasim, and Badil was known by his mother.

Thus, Hisham ibn Al-Kalbi narrated his lineage, and he and his son meet in Ka'b ibn Amr, and he is the aunt of Abu Malik Asid ibn Abd Allah ibn Al-Ajlam, and he and Amr ibn Al-Hamq ibn Al-Kahin ibn Habib ibn Amr ibn Al-Qain meet in Amr, and Badil is the one whom the Prophet ﷺ sent and sent with him Busr ibn Sufyan to the Banu Ka'b to summon them for the conquest of Mecca, Abu Umar narrated it.

And Abu Musa narrated it on the authority of Ibn Mandah, and he said: Badil ibn Abd Manaf ibn Salama ibn Khalaf ibn Amr ibn Al-Habb ibn Muaqis ibn Habtar, and he mentioned the rest of the lineage as we mentioned, and then he said in the end: and these names that I mentioned, I do not verify them, and this is like the Imam's saying, for they were mentioned by Ibn Al-Kalbi, Ibn Abd Al-Barr, and the Amir Abu Nasr as we mentioned.

As for his saying: Muaqis, with the alif on top of the ba, it is not like that, but rather: it is Mubass.

And his saying: Habtar, with the nun, it is not like that, but rather: it is Habtar, with a bah, a waw, and a ta above it with dots, and a ra at the end.

Badil: with a damma on the ba, and a fat-ha on the dal.

And Asid: with a fat-ha on the hamza, and a kasra on the sin.

And Hiyah: with a yaa below it with dots.

And Al-Ajlam: with the jim on top of the ha, as the Amir Abu Nasr said.
