Muhammad b. Ibrahim b. Shahdil al-Madini, We were informed by Abu al-Abbas Ahmad b. Muhammad b. Sa'id b. Uqda, We were informed by Abd Allah b. Ibrahim b. Qutayba, We were informed by al-Hasan b. Ziyad b. Umar, We were informed by Umar b. Sa'id al-Basri, from Umar b. Abd Allah b. Ya'la b. Murra, from his father, from his grandfather Ya'la b. Murra, said: I heard the Messenger of Allah say: 'Whoever I am his master, then Ali is his master. O Allah, befriend whoever befriended him and be hostile to whoever was hostile to him.'

said: When Ali arrived in Kufa, he summoned the people: 'Whoever heard that from the Messenger of Allah, let him recite it.' About a dozen men recited it, including: Zayd or Zayd b. Sharahil al-Ansari.
