Definition of Call / To shout

An-Nidā' refers to calling out loud.

The Almighty says: 'And when you call to prayer' (Al-Ma'idah 58).

Nādā means to call.

Al-munādī is the caller.

The Almighty says: 'And call upon your Lord' (Al-Furqan 77).

﴿وَإِذَا تُتْلَىٰ عَلَيْهِمْ ءَايَـٰتُنَا بَيِّنَـٰتٍۢ قَالَ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ لِلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوٓا۟ أَىُّ ٱلْفَرِيقَيْنِ خَيْرٌۭ مَّقَامًۭا وَأَحْسَنُ نَدِيًّۭا﴾

And when Our verses are recited to them as clear evidences, those who disbelieve say to those who believe, "Which of [our] two parties is best in position and best in association?"
