Definition of Freshness / Radiance

An-Naḍrah refers to freshness and facial beauty.

The Almighty says: 'Some faces that Day will be radiant' (Al-Qiyamah 22).

Naḍira means to be radiant.

An-nāḍir is the fresh and beautiful.

Naḍratun na'īm is the beauty of bliss.

Surah Al-Qiyama : 22 Meccan

﴿وُجُوهٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ نَّاضِرَةٌ﴾

[Some] faces, that Day, will be radiant,

Surah Al-Insan : 11 Medinan

﴿فَوَقَىٰهُمُ ٱللَّهُ شَرَّ ذَٰلِكَ ٱلْيَوْمِ وَلَقَّىٰهُمْ نَضْرَةً وَسُرُورًا﴾

So Allah will protect them from the evil of that Day and give them radiance and happiness

Surah Al-Mutaffifin : 24 Meccan

﴿تَعْرِفُ فِى وُجُوهِهِمْ نَضْرَةَ ٱلنَّعِيمِ﴾

You will recognize in their faces the radiance of pleasure.
