Definition of To go out

Allah says: 'We made them like a harvest extinguished (khâmidîn)' (Al-Anbiyâ': 15).

Khâmidîn: extinguished, like fire that dies out.

Destroyed peoples are compared to an extinguished fire, without life or movement.
