Definition of Meadow / Mixture

Al-Marj refers to mixing and confusion.

The Almighty says: 'He released the two seas' (Ar-Rahman 19).

Maraja al-baḥrayn means He let the two seas meet.

Al-marj is the free pasture.

Surah Al-Furqan : 53 Meccan

﴿وَهُوَ ٱلَّذِى مَرَجَ ٱلْبَحْرَيْنِ هَٰذَا عَذْبٌ فُرَاتٌ وَهَٰذَا مِلْحٌ أُجَاجٌ وَجَعَلَ بَيْنَهُمَا بَرْزَخًا وَحِجْرًا مَّحْجُورًا﴾

And it is He who has released [simultaneously] the two seas, one fresh and sweet and one salty and bitter, and He placed between them a barrier and prohibiting partition.

Surah Qaf : 5 Meccan

﴿بَلْ كَذَّبُوا۟ بِٱلْحَقِّ لَمَّا جَآءَهُمْ فَهُمْ فِىٓ أَمْرٍ مَّرِيجٍ﴾

But they denied the truth when it came to them, so they are in a confused condition.

Surah Ar-Rahman : 15 Meccan

﴿وَخَلَقَ ٱلْجَآنَّ مِن مَّارِجٍ مِّن نَّارٍ﴾

And He created the jinn from a smokeless flame of fire.

Surah Ar-Rahman : 19 Meccan

﴿مَرَجَ ٱلْبَحْرَيْنِ يَلْتَقِيَانِ﴾

He released the two seas, meeting [side by side];

Surah Ar-Rahman : 22 Meccan

﴿يَخْرُجُ مِنْهُمَا ٱللُّؤْلُؤُ وَٱلْمَرْجَانُ﴾

From both of them emerge pearl and coral.
