Definition of Messenger / Emissary

Al-malâ'ika (the angels): its singular is 'malak', originally 'ma'lak', or said to be inverted from 'mal'ak'.

Al-ma'laka and al-alûk: the message. 'Alakanî ilayhi': deliver my message to him.

Allah says: 'Allah chooses from the angels messengers' (Al-Hajj: 75).
