Definition of Peace / Conciliation
As-salah: the opposite of corruption, specifically used for actions.
The Almighty says: 'Those who believe and do good deeds' (Al-Baqara 25).
As-sulh: ending conflict. 'Reconciliation is better' (An-Nisa 128).
And if a woman fears from her husband contempt or evasion, there is no sin upon them if they make terms of settlement between them - and settlement is best. And present in [human] souls is stinginess. But if you do good and fear Allah - then indeed Allah is ever, with what you do, Acquainted.
Gardens of perpetual residence; they will enter them with whoever were righteous among their fathers, their spouses and their descendants. And the angels will enter upon them from every gate, [saying],
Our Lord, and admit them to gardens of perpetual residence which You have promised them and whoever was righteous among their fathers, their spouses and their offspring. Indeed, it is You who is the Exalted in Might, the Wise.
