Definition of To remove / To set down

Al-khal': the man removes his garment, the horse its cover and halter.

Allah says: 'Remove (ikhla') your sandals' (Tâ-Hâ: 12).

Moses was ordered to remove his sandals because he was on the sacred ground of Tuwâ.
