Definition of Smoke / Dust
Al-Qatr refers to dust that rises.
The Almighty says: 'No dust will cover them on that Day' ('Abasa 40-41).
Al-qutār is the smoke from grilled fat.
Qatara 'alā ahlihi means to be stingy with one's family.
There is no blame upon you if you divorce women you have not touched nor specified for them an obligation. But give them [a gift of] compensation - the wealthy according to his capability and the poor according to his capability - a provision according to what is acceptable, a duty upon the doers of good.
For them who have done good is the best [reward] and extra. No darkness will cover their faces, nor humiliation. Those are companions of Paradise; they will abide therein eternally
Say [to them], "If you possessed the depositories of the mercy of my Lord, then you would withhold out of fear of spending." And ever has man been stingy.
