Main themes of the surah في سورة Al-Adiyat

One instance of wrongdoing can counter numerous instances of good deeds, and ingratitude is the opposite of gratitude. Imam Abu Ja'far bin az-Zubair said: The Almighty has sworn to the state of man, saying: 'Verily, man is ungrateful to his Lord' {100:6}, meaning he is an ingrate, stingy with the wealth he possesses, as if he will not be rewarded or held accountable for the little or the much of it, and from where he acquired it, and in what he spent it, as if he had not heard the saying of the Almighty: {99:7-8}. And indeed, he loves wealth intensely, and is severe in his stinginess {100:8}. And indeed, he is a witness to that, for Allah is well aware of it, so there is no need to look into his matter or the outcome of his actions {100:10}. When the contents of the graves are scattered and the contents of the breasts are gathered, i.e., the good and evil are distinguished, so that judgment may be passed on them {100:10}, their Lord will be well aware of them on that day {100:11}. Whoever does an atom's weight of good will see it, and whoever does an atom's weight of evil will see it {99:7-8}. Since it is astonishing for man to commit injustice, it is even more astonishing when he testifies against himself to his own injustice. The Almighty emphasizes what most of creation will deny before the Resurrection and the reckoning, namely, their ingratitude: 'And indeed, he' - i.e., man - 'is upon that' - i.e., the great ingratitude, where he dared to disobey the Great King, the Benefactor, despite His benevolence towards him.

By the racers, panting,

And the chargers at dawn,

Stirring up thereby [clouds of] dust,

Arriving thereby in the center collectively,

Indeed mankind, to his Lord, is ungrateful.

And indeed, he is to that a witness.

And indeed he is, in love of wealth, intense.

But does he not know that when the contents of the graves are scattered
