So that no mistake is made regarding the employed causes, thinking they are effective, thus exceeding the limit from the rank of possibilities to the rank of necessities. We affirm that it is hardly believable that the jinn address humans and they honor them: {And indeed} the matter {was that} men {of great strength and courage} from among humans {would seek refuge} - seeking protection for themselves and their belongings - {with men from among the jinn} when they descended into a valley. For it was a custom among the people that when they descended into a valley or any other desolate area, the jinn would sometimes toy with them because there was no deterrent to prevent the jinn from doing so, neither the remembrance of Allah the Exalted, nor a correct religion, nor a clear book from Allah. This led them to seek the protection of their chiefs, so a person would say when fearful: 'I seek refuge with the great one of this valley from the evil of the foolish among his people,' or something similar, and they would only see good. Sometimes, the jinn would guide them to the path and return their lost belongings, which became a trial for humans as they believed in the jinn in a way that was not true, and thus they followed the jinn in their misguidance. It was also a trial for the jinn as they became self-deceived, saying: 'We have blocked the way for both the jinn and humans,' and thus they were misguided and they misguided others. Therefore, the reason for this is stated in His saying: {And they increased them} - the humans, the jinn

ولما أخبروا عن إيمانهم أنه كان عقب سماعهم من غير توقف، ثم ذك...

And when they were informed about their faith that it occurred immediately after they heard without hesitation, then they mentioned being forbidden from eavesdropping, they stated that the prohibition was unclear to them, indicating that ignorance of some subsidiary issues does not detract.

{صعداً *} أي شاقاً شديداً يعلوه ويغلبه ويصعد عليه، ويكون كل ...

Ascending, meaning extremely difficult, overpowering, and dominating, with each day being more severe than the previous one as a punishment and consequence. For neglect, the longer it persists, the more intense it becomes. Since the decree states that He revealed to me that the matter is as you customarily understand among yourselves, that whoever serves other than their lord will be tormented forever, He then mercifully elaborated upon the conduct of the Prophets, peace be upon them, and the perfection that is required of them through the power of knowledge and action, and the completion that comes with these, along with the power of eloquence. And whoever is not perfect cannot possibly bring about perfection, just as one who has not reached maturity cannot possibly have a child of the flesh, and He made clear what is permissible for them and what is impossible for them, and the care that Allah, the Exalted, has for their affairs. {And that} He revealed to me that {the mosques}, meaning the places of prostration in the physical world of the earth and in the spiritual world of the body - as said by Sa'id bin Jubayr and Talq bin Habib - {are for Allah}, meaning dedicated to the Greatest Kingdom, {so do not invoke} because of this, O created beings, in the customary manner, {anyone} alongside {Allah}, the One to Whom all greatness belongs, for whoever worships other than their lord in the kingdom of their lord, which is the physical world, and with the means of their lord, which is the spiritual world, was among the most blameworthy and punished of people. So, how can it be fitting for you that a face be created for you?

يدعو سيده دعاء عبادة من حيث كونه عبده ومن حيث كون سيده يسمع ...

He calls upon his Lord with a prayer of worship, both in terms of his being a servant and in terms of his Lord hearing and responding to the one who calls upon Him. Since the oppressors were the majority of the people, indeed all people, both jinn and humans, at that time, He stated, explaining that it is permissible for the prophets to be harmed and belittled in order to elevate their ranks and console their inheritors, even if their ranks would not accept that. {كادوا} means the oppressors from both groups, jinn and humans, nearly {يكونون عليه} upon the servant of Allah {لبدا}, meaning accumulated upon one another due to the intensity of their crowding, to the point that it became a source of amazement for them due to what they saw of his worship and their desire to turn him away from it. However, this is not something to be amazed at; rather, the amazement is at what they themselves did in terms of worshiping other than Him, may He be exalted, and their amazement at the worship of His servant and his sincerity in his prayer. This is a collection of 'lbd', with the 'l' pronounced with a kasrah, and it is also recited with a 'l' pronounced with a dammah, as a collection of 'lbdah' with a dammah, which refers to something that is piled upon another. When the listener's attention turned to the statement of the Prophet, may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him, regarding those who were crowded upon him, the response began with the statement, explaining what is impossible for the prophets, may Allah's peace be upon them, in terms of praying to other than Allah and abandoning prayer to Him, which goes against any of His commands, saying

ولما كان التقدير لبيان أن الله شرف الرسل بأن أعطاهم عظمة من ...

And since the estimation is for the explanation that Allah honored the messengers by granting them a greatness from His own greatness, making their disobedience His disobedience, the reward for those who disobey them is the reward for those who disobey Him, may He be exalted and glorified, because they only speak by His command. So, whoever obeys Allah and His messenger, then for him is a paradise of bliss where they will be happy for eternity. Then, as a warning to him, He says: {And whoever disobeys Allah} - the One to whom all greatness belongs - {and His messenger} - the one with whom prophethood and messengership were sealed, and whose message encompasses all of His creation in the aspect of monotheism or otherwise in a manner of denial - {then for him} - specifically - {is the fire of Hell}, which will receive him with frowning and anger. And since He expressed it in the singular form, looking at the word 'man' because it is more explicit in every individual, He expressed it in the plural form, carrying the meaning of its generality, because it is more indicative of the universality of humiliation, so He said: {abiding therein forever}. And He emphasized the meaning and made it a reality, in response to those who claim that the fire will eventually burn out, saying: {forever}. As for those who claim that the fire will burn them and that the punishment is actually a pleasure, no one is more ignorant than them, except for those who follow them in their misguidance, error, and deviation. And they have no cure except the sword in this world and the punishment in the Hereafter, which they call a pleasure, while they are returning to it and will be held to it. And since He mentioned their persistence in their stance towards Him, and prioritized what is most important regarding His affair, which is to remove their anxieties by informing them that what they deny about Him is what is rightfully due to Him,

سورة المزملمقصودها الإعلام بأن محاسن الأعمال تدفع الأخطار وا...

The purpose of Surah Al-Muzammil is to inform that the beauty of deeds wards off dangers and difficulties, and alleviates heavy burdens, especially standing before the Exalted King, and being devoted to His service, even in the darkness of nights. Indeed, He is the best of Gods to accept actions and words, and to erase the shadows of misguidance. He is the greatest Helper in patience and endurance, against the impurities that occur in the transitory world, and the struggles and migrations. The name 'Al-Muzammil' is the most indicative of this statement. 'In the name of God' - the Sufficient One to rely on in all circumstances, 'the Most Gracious' - who has bestowed the blessing of creation and guidance, and misguidance, in all circumstances, 'the Most Merciful' - who has specially favored His party with righteousness in words and deeds, to guide them to the abode of perfection.

قُلْ أُوحِىَ إِلَىَّ أَنَّهُ ٱسْتَمَعَ نَفَرٌۭ مِّنَ ٱلْجِنِّ فَقَالُوٓا۟ إِنَّا سَمِعْنَا قُرْءَانًا عَجَبًۭا ﴿١﴾

Say, [O Muhammad], "It has been revealed to me that a group of the jinn listened and said, 'Indeed, we have heard an amazing Qur'an.

يَهْدِىٓ إِلَى ٱلرُّشْدِ فَـَٔامَنَّا بِهِۦ ۖ وَلَن نُّشْرِكَ بِرَبِّنَآ أَحَدًۭا ﴿٢﴾

It guides to the right course, and we have believed in it. And we will never associate with our Lord anyone.

وَأَنَّهُۥ تَعَـٰلَىٰ جَدُّ رَبِّنَا مَا ٱتَّخَذَ صَـٰحِبَةًۭ وَلَا وَلَدًۭا ﴿٣﴾

And [it teaches] that exalted is the nobleness of our Lord; He has not taken a wife or a son

وَأَنَّهُۥ كَانَ يَقُولُ سَفِيهُنَا عَلَى ٱللَّهِ شَطَطًۭا ﴿٤﴾

And that our foolish one has been saying about Allah an excessive transgression.

وَأَنَّا ظَنَنَّآ أَن لَّن تَقُولَ ٱلْإِنسُ وَٱلْجِنُّ عَلَى ٱللَّهِ كَذِبًۭا ﴿٥﴾

And we had thought that mankind and the jinn would never speak about Allah a lie.

وَأَنَّهُۥ كَانَ رِجَالٌۭ مِّنَ ٱلْإِنسِ يَعُوذُونَ بِرِجَالٍۢ مِّنَ ٱلْجِنِّ فَزَادُوهُمْ رَهَقًۭا ﴿٦﴾

And there were men from mankind who sought refuge in men from the jinn, so they [only] increased them in burden.

وَأَنَّهُمْ ظَنُّوا۟ كَمَا ظَنَنتُمْ أَن لَّن يَبْعَثَ ٱللَّهُ أَحَدًۭا ﴿٧﴾

And they had thought, as you thought, that Allah would never send anyone [as a messenger].

وَأَنَّا لَمَسْنَا ٱلسَّمَآءَ فَوَجَدْنَـٰهَا مُلِئَتْ حَرَسًۭا شَدِيدًۭا وَشُهُبًۭا ﴿٨﴾

And we have sought [to reach] the heaven but found it filled with powerful guards and burning flames.

وَأَنَّا كُنَّا نَقْعُدُ مِنْهَا مَقَـٰعِدَ لِلسَّمْعِ ۖ فَمَن يَسْتَمِعِ ٱلْـَٔانَ يَجِدْ لَهُۥ شِهَابًۭا رَّصَدًۭا ﴿٩﴾

And we used to sit therein in positions for hearing, but whoever listens now will find a burning flame lying in wait for him.

وَأَنَّا لَا نَدْرِىٓ أَشَرٌّ أُرِيدَ بِمَن فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ أَمْ أَرَادَ بِهِمْ رَبُّهُمْ رَشَدًۭا ﴿١٠﴾

And we do not know [therefore] whether evil is intended for those on earth or whether their Lord intends for them a right course.

وَأَنَّا مِنَّا ٱلصَّـٰلِحُونَ وَمِنَّا دُونَ ذَٰلِكَ ۖ كُنَّا طَرَآئِقَ قِدَدًۭا ﴿١١﴾

And among us are the righteous, and among us are [others] not so; we were [of] divided ways.

وَأَنَّا ظَنَنَّآ أَن لَّن نُّعْجِزَ ٱللَّهَ فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ وَلَن نُّعْجِزَهُۥ هَرَبًۭا ﴿١٢﴾

And we have become certain that we will never cause failure to Allah upon earth, nor can we escape Him by flight.

وَأَنَّا لَمَّا سَمِعْنَا ٱلْهُدَىٰٓ ءَامَنَّا بِهِۦ ۖ فَمَن يُؤْمِنۢ بِرَبِّهِۦ فَلَا يَخَافُ بَخْسًۭا وَلَا رَهَقًۭا ﴿١٣﴾

And when we heard the guidance, we believed in it. And whoever believes in his Lord will not fear deprivation or burden.

وَأَنَّا مِنَّا ٱلْمُسْلِمُونَ وَمِنَّا ٱلْقَـٰسِطُونَ ۖ فَمَنْ أَسْلَمَ فَأُو۟لَـٰٓئِكَ تَحَرَّوْا۟ رَشَدًۭا ﴿١٤﴾

And among us are Muslims [in submission to Allah], and among us are the unjust. And whoever has become Muslim - those have sought out the right course.

وَأَمَّا ٱلْقَـٰسِطُونَ فَكَانُوا۟ لِجَهَنَّمَ حَطَبًۭا ﴿١٥﴾

But as for the unjust, they will be, for Hell, firewood.'

وَأَلَّوِ ٱسْتَقَـٰمُوا۟ عَلَى ٱلطَّرِيقَةِ لَأَسْقَيْنَـٰهُم مَّآءً غَدَقًۭا ﴿١٦﴾

And [Allah revealed] that if they had remained straight on the way, We would have given them abundant provision

لِّنَفْتِنَهُمْ فِيهِ ۚ وَمَن يُعْرِضْ عَن ذِكْرِ رَبِّهِۦ يَسْلُكْهُ عَذَابًۭا صَعَدًۭا ﴿١٧﴾

So We might test them therein. And whoever turns away from the remembrance of his Lord He will put into arduous punishment.

وَأَنَّ ٱلْمَسَـٰجِدَ لِلَّهِ فَلَا تَدْعُوا۟ مَعَ ٱللَّهِ أَحَدًۭا ﴿١٨﴾

And [He revealed] that the masjids are for Allah, so do not invoke with Allah anyone.

وَأَنَّهُۥ لَمَّا قَامَ عَبْدُ ٱللَّهِ يَدْعُوهُ كَادُوا۟ يَكُونُونَ عَلَيْهِ لِبَدًۭا ﴿١٩﴾

And that when the Servant of Allah stood up supplicating Him, they almost became about him a compacted mass."

قُلْ إِنَّمَآ أَدْعُوا۟ رَبِّى وَلَآ أُشْرِكُ بِهِۦٓ أَحَدًۭا ﴿٢٠﴾

Say, [O Muhammad], "I only invoke my Lord and do not associate with Him anyone."

قُلْ إِنِّى لَآ أَمْلِكُ لَكُمْ ضَرًّۭا وَلَا رَشَدًۭا ﴿٢١﴾

Say, "Indeed, I do not possess for you [the power of] harm or right direction."

قُلْ إِنِّى لَن يُجِيرَنِى مِنَ ٱللَّهِ أَحَدٌۭ وَلَنْ أَجِدَ مِن دُونِهِۦ مُلْتَحَدًا ﴿٢٢﴾

Say, "Indeed, there will never protect me from Allah anyone [if I should disobey], nor will I find in other than Him a refuge.

إِلَّا بَلَـٰغًۭا مِّنَ ٱللَّهِ وَرِسَـٰلَـٰتِهِۦ ۚ وَمَن يَعْصِ ٱللَّهَ وَرَسُولَهُۥ فَإِنَّ لَهُۥ نَارَ جَهَنَّمَ خَـٰلِدِينَ فِيهَآ أَبَدًا ﴿٢٣﴾

But [I have for you] only notification from Allah, and His messages." And whoever disobeys Allah and His Messenger - then indeed, for him is the fire of Hell; they will abide therein forever.

حَتَّىٰٓ إِذَا رَأَوْا۟ مَا يُوعَدُونَ فَسَيَعْلَمُونَ مَنْ أَضْعَفُ نَاصِرًۭا وَأَقَلُّ عَدَدًۭا ﴿٢٤﴾

[The disbelievers continue] until, when they see that which they are promised, then they will know who is weaker in helpers and less in number.

قُلْ إِنْ أَدْرِىٓ أَقَرِيبٌۭ مَّا تُوعَدُونَ أَمْ يَجْعَلُ لَهُۥ رَبِّىٓ أَمَدًا ﴿٢٥﴾

Say, "I do not know if what you are promised is near or if my Lord will grant for it a [long] period."

عَـٰلِمُ ٱلْغَيْبِ فَلَا يُظْهِرُ عَلَىٰ غَيْبِهِۦٓ أَحَدًا ﴿٢٦﴾

[He is] Knower of the unseen, and He does not disclose His [knowledge of the] unseen to anyone

إِلَّا مَنِ ٱرْتَضَىٰ مِن رَّسُولٍۢ فَإِنَّهُۥ يَسْلُكُ مِنۢ بَيْنِ يَدَيْهِ وَمِنْ خَلْفِهِۦ رَصَدًۭا ﴿٢٧﴾

Except whom He has approved of messengers, and indeed, He sends before each messenger and behind him observers

لِّيَعْلَمَ أَن قَدْ أَبْلَغُوا۟ رِسَـٰلَـٰتِ رَبِّهِمْ وَأَحَاطَ بِمَا لَدَيْهِمْ وَأَحْصَىٰ كُلَّ شَىْءٍ عَدَدًۢا ﴿٢٨﴾

That he may know that they have conveyed the messages of their Lord; and He has encompassed whatever is with them and has enumerated all things in number.
