d ': Abjar al-Muzani was mentioned by Ibn Manda and Abu Nu'aym.

The Khatib Abu al-Fadl 'Abdullah ibn Ahmad ibn 'Abd al-Qahir reported to us, with a chain of narration to Abu Dawud al-Tayalisi, who said: Shuba told us, from 'Ubayd ibn al-Hasan, who said: I heard 'Abdullah ibn Ma'qil narrating, from 'Abdullah ibn Bishr, from some people of Muzaynah, that their leader Abjar, or Ibn Abjar, asked the Prophet ﷺ and said: O Messenger of Allah, I have nothing left except my donkeys. The Prophet ﷺ replied: Feed your family from the best of your wealth, for I have only prohibited it because of the travelers who pass through the village.
