Ayyub ibn Bashir

S: Ayub b. Bishr al-Ansari mentioned by Abdan, and Ibn Shahin in al-Sahaba.

Muhammad b. Yahya b. Habban narrated from Ayub b. Bishr al-Ansari, that he said to the Messenger of Allah: I have decided to dedicate three-quarters of my prayers to supplication for you, and a prayer for your benefit, he said: Do not worry, for you will stay as long as Allah wills, then he said: O Messenger of Allah, rather I have decided to dedicate half of my prayers to prayer for your benefit and supplication for you, so he said: Do not worry, for you will stay as long as Allah wills, then he said to the Messenger of Allah: I have decided to dedicate all of my prayers to prayer and supplication for you, he said: Then Allah will suffice you for what concerns you in this world and the hereafter.
