Ibrahim az-Zuhri

d ': Ibrāhīm ibn 'Abd al-Raḥmān ibn 'Awf al-Zuhrī, and we will mention his lineage under his father's name, he is known as: Abū Isḥāq, and it was said: Abū Muḥammad, and his mother was Umm Kulthūm bint 'Uqbah ibn Abī Mu'īṭ. Muḥammad ibn Sa'd al-Wāqidī mentioned that he lived during the lifetime of the Prophet ﷺ. Abū Nu'aym said: And what indicates that he was born during the lifetime of the Messenger of Allāh ﷺ is what was reported by Ibrāhīm ibn al-Mundhir, that Ibrāhīm ibn 'Abd al-Raḥmān died in the year 75, and he was 76 years old, and his narrations from 'Umar ibn al-Khaṭṭāb and from his father.

Ibn Manḍah and Abū Nu'aym mentioned him.

I say: There is a consideration in Abū Nu'aym's statement, because he deduced his companionship from Ibn al-Mundhir's statement: that he died in the year 75 and he was 76 years old, so according to this, his birth would have been before the Hijrah by one year.

The commentators, authors of biographies, and books on genealogy, and the names of the Ṣaḥābah: mentioned that Umm Kulthūm bint 'Uqbah stayed in Makkah until the Prophet ﷺ made peace with the polytheists of Quraysh in the year 7 at al-Ḥudaybiyyah, then she migrated, and her brothers came looking for her, so Allāh revealed: O you who have believed, when the believing women come to you as emigrants... The verse.

He did not hand her over to them, and Zayd ibn Ḥārithah married her, and he was killed in Mu'tah in the year 8, so the Zubayr ibn al-'Awwām married her, and she gave birth to Zaynab, then he divorced her, and 'Abd al-Raḥmān ibn 'Awf married her, and she gave birth to Ibrāhīm, Ḥamīd, and others, if he was born during the lifetime of the Prophet ﷺ, it would have been at the end of his life, for Zayd was killed in Jumādā al-Awwal in the year 8, so the Zubayr married her, and she gave birth to him, and her two waiting periods from Zayd and the Zubayr ended, then 'Abd al-Raḥmān married her, and she gave birth to Ibrāhīm, and it would have been at the end of his days, and Allāh knows best.
