Jabir ibn Awf

S: Jabir b. 'Abd Allah Abu 'Us al-Thaqafi. He was mentioned by Abu 'Uthman Said b. Ya'qub al-Saraqi in al-Afrad, written by Ibn Mandah.

Jabir b. 'Abd Allah reported from Hammad b. Salama, from Ya'la b. 'Ata', from his father, from Aws b. Abi Aws, from his father, whose name was Jabir, that the Prophet, peace be upon him, 'prayed and wiped over his feet.' Hisham and Shu'ba also reported it from Ya'la, similarly.

Shu'ayb reported it from Ya'la, without mentioning anyone between Ya'la and Aws.
