Biography of Jabir ibn Zalim
B: Jabir ibn Zalim ibn Haritha ibn Attab ibn Abu Haritha ibn Jadi ibn Tadul ibn Buhthar ibn Atud ibn Unayn ibn Salaman ibn Tha'l ibn Amr ibn Al-Ghuth ibn Tayy al-Tayyi', then al-Buhthari. The historian Al-Tabari mentioned him among those who visited the Prophet ﷺ from Tayyi', said: So the Messenger of Allah ﷺ wrote a letter about him, and he is with them. This Buhthar, to whom he is attributed, is the belly from which Abu Ubada al-Buhthari, the poet, is from.
He was narrated by Abu 'Umar.
Unayn: With a raised 'ain and an open nun, and after it a yaa with two dots under it, then a second nun.
Jadi: With a geminated jim and a dhal, Tadul: With a fat-ha on the taa above two dots, and a geminated dhal, and after the waw a lâm.
Tha'l: With a thaa alif, and a fat-ha on the 'ain, and the last letter is a lâm.
