Biography of Ja'far ibn Abi Talib
Jafar bin Abi Talib Jafar bin Abi Talib, and Abu Talib's name is Abd Manaf bin Abd al-Muttalib bin Hashim bin Abd Manaf bin Qusay al-Qurashi al-Hashemi, cousin of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, and brother of Ali bin Abi Talib through his parents. He is Jaafar al-Tayyar. He was the most similar of people to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ in morals and morals. He converted to Islam shortly after his brother Ali converted to Islam. It was narrated that Abu Talib saw the Prophet ﷺ and Ali, peace be upon him, praying, with Ali on his right, so he said to Jafar, peace be upon him: Pray on the wing of your cousin, and pray on his left. Another report states: He converted to Islam after thirty-one people. He was the thirty-second; This was said by Ibn Ishaq. He had two migrations: a migration to Abyssinia, and a migration to Medina. His son Abdullah and Abu Musa Al-Ash'ari narrated from him.
And Amr bin Al-Aas, whom the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, called him: Father of the Poor. He was ten years older than Ali, and his brother Aqeel was ten years older than him, and their brother Talib was ten years older than Aqeel. When he migrated to Abyssinia, he lived there with the Negus until he came to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ when he conquered Khaybar, and the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, met him, embraced him, kissed between his eyes, and said: (What? I know which one I am more happy with, the arrival of Jaafar or the conquest of Khaybar. the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, took him down next to the mosque. Ismail bin Ubayd Allah, and more than one person, told us. They said by attributing their chain of transmission to Abu Issa. Reported by Muhammad bin Bashar, on the authority of Abu Hurairah, who said: (No one who wore sandals, nor rode horses, nor rode horses after the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, was better than Jaafar.

Reported by Abu Yasser bin Abi Hibba, on the authority of Katheer bin Nafi' an-Nawaw, who said: I heard Abdullah bin Malil, he said: I heard Ali say: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ, said: (There was no prophet before me except that seven noble companions were given ministers. I was given fourteen: Hamza, Jaafar, Ali, Hassan, Hussein, Abu Bakr, Omar, Al-Miqdad, Hudhayfah, Salman, Ammar and Bilal).
Reported by several transmitters, on the authority of Abu Hurairah, who said: (If I were to stick my stomach to gravel from hunger, and if I were to recite to a man the verse, while I had it with me, so that he might turn to me and feed me, and the last of people was for the poor, Ja'far ibn Abi Talib. He used to turn with us and feed us whatever he had in his stomach. His house, even if he were to bring out to us the piece that had nothing on it, so we would tear it apart and lick what was in it. Reported by Abu Ja`far Ubayd Allah ibn Ahmad ibn Ali al-Baghdadi, on the authority of Ibn Ishaq, who said: Muhammad ibn Ja`far ibn al-Zubair told me, saying: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ, came from the Umrah to perform the judiciary in Medina, in Dhul-Hijjah, and stayed in Medina until he was sent to Mu'tah, in Jumada, in the year eight.
Reported by Muhammad ibn al-Zubayr, on the authority of Urwa, who said: The people fought fiercely until Zaid bin Haritha was killed, then Jaafar took the banner and fought with it until he was killed. Reported by Ibn Ishaq, on the authority of his father, who said: My father who breastfed me. He was one of the Banu Murrah bin Awf, told me: (By Allah, it is as if I am looking at Ja'far ibn Abi Talib on the day of Mu'tah, when he stormed off a blonde mare of his, and hamstrung her, then advanced and fought until he was killed. Ibn Ishaq said: He was the first to be hamstrung in Islam. And when he fought Ja'far, his hands were cut off and the banner was with him.
He throws it; the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, said: (Allah replaced him with two wings with which he could fly in Paradise) and when he was killed, seventy-some wounds were found on him, including wounds from a sword and stab wounds from a spear, all on the front part of his body. Some reports state: fifty-few, and the first is more correct. Ibn Ishaq said: When the people were injured, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, said from what I heard: Zaid bin Haritha took the banner and fought with it until he was killed as a martyr. Jaafar took it and fought with it until he was killed as a martyr. Then the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, remained silent until the faces of the Ansar changed. They thought that there was something they hated about Abdullah bin Rawahah. Then he said: Abdullah bin Rawahah took it and fought with it until he was killed as a martyr.
Then he said, "They were raised in Paradise on golden beds." I saw in Abdullah's bed a number of shades higher than the beds of his two companions, so I was told: "What is the matter with this?" Abdullah hesitated Some hesitation. He then went on. Ibn Ishaq said: Abdullah bin Abi Bakr bin Muhammad bin Amr bin Hazm told me, on the authority of Umm Issa, on the authority of Umm Ja'far bint Ja'far bin Abi Talib, on the authority of her grandmother, Asma' bint Umays, that she said: When Ja'far and his companions were injured, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ visited me. I had kneaded my dough. I washed my sons, and anointed them, and cleaned them. Then the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: (Bring me the sons of Ja'far.) So I brought them to him. He smelled them and his eyes filled with tears. I said: O Messenger of Allah, what makes you cry about Ja'far and his companions?
He said: (Yes, they were injured today.) So I stood up shouting and gathered the women, and the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, returned to his family and said: (Do not ignore Ja'far's family, for they have been occupied. Ibn Ishaq said: Abdul Rahman bin Al-Qasim told me, on the authority of Aisha, she said: Why?) When Ja'far died, we saw sadness in the face of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. It was narrated that when the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, came to him with the mourning of Ja'far, he went to his wife, Asma bint Umays, and comforted her, and Fatima came in crying and saying: He was blinded, so the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, said: (Let the mourners cry like that of Ja'far, until Gabriel came to him and told him that Allah had given Ja'far two wings covered with blood). He flies with them with the angels. Abdullah bin Jaafar said: If I asked Ali for something, he would stop me. I would say to him: By the name of Jaafar, but he would give it to me.
He said: Whenever Omar bin Al-Khattab saw Abdullah bin Jaafar, he would say: Peace be upon you, O son of the two-winged man.
