Biography of Khalid ibn Abi Djanab
Usd al-Ghaba: Khalid ibn Abi Dharr al-Ansari. 'Abd Allah ibn Abi Rafi' mentioned him in the list of those who fought alongside 'Ali against him.

Dhikr 'Ulama' al-Hadith: Khalid ibn Rafi'. There is a difference of opinion regarding him and his isnad.
Nafi' ibn Yazid related from 'Ayyash ibn 'Abbas, from 'Abd ibn Malik al-Ma'afiri, who said that Ja'far ibn 'Abd Allah ibn al-Hakam related to him, from Khalid ibn Rafi': that the Prophet said to Ibn Mas'ud, 'Do not be too concerned, for what is destined will come to pass, and what you are provided with will reach you.'
Related by Ibn Lah'i'a, from 'Ayyash, from Malik ibn 'Abd al-Ghaffaqi, from the Messenger of Allah.
And others related it, from 'Ayyash ibn 'Abbas, from Ja'far ibn 'Abd Allah ibn al-Hakam, from Malik ibn 'Abd, the same.
Transmitted by Ibn Mandah and Abu Nu'aym.
'Ayyash: with two dots underneath, and the last letter is a shadda, and as for his father, he is 'Abbas: with a waqf, and a meem.

Khalid ibn Rabah, the brother of Bilal ibn Rabah al-Habashi, known as Abu Ruwayha, and it is said: that Abu Ruwayha was his brother in Islam, and the Messenger of Allah paired them together, although he was not his brother by birth. He resided in Darayya, a place in the land of Damascus, along with Bilal.
