Biography of Khalid ibn at-Tufayl
D'Ohsson: Khalid ibn al-Tufayl ibn Madrik al-Ghafari.
He was mentioned by Ibn Munayyir in the Sahaba, and there is a difference of opinion.
Kathir ibn Zayd, from Khalid ibn al-Tufayl ibn Madrik al-Ghafari, reported: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ sent his grandfather Madrik to his daughter, saying: 'Bring her from Mecca.' The Messenger of Allah ﷺ would say when he prostrated and bowed: 'O Allah, I seek refuge in Your pleasure from Your wrath, and in Your forgiveness from Your punishment, and in You from You. I do not suffice to praise You, You are as You have praised Yourself.'
It was narrated by Ibn Mandah, and Abu Nai'm.
