Biography of Kharjah ibn Hudhafah
Kharija ibn Hudhafah ibn Ghanm ibn Amir ibn Abdullah ibn Ubayd ibn Awij ibn Adi ibn Ka'b ibn Lu'ayy al-Qurashi al-Adawi. His mother was Fatimah bint Amr ibn Bujayra al-Adawiyah.
He was one of the knights of Quraish, it is said: he was equal to a thousand cavalrymen. Amr ibn al-As wrote to Umar ibn Al-Khattab, asking him to provide him with three thousand cavalrymen. Umar ibn Al-Khattab provided him with Kharija ibn Hudhafah, Zubayr ibn al-Awwam, and al-Miqdad ibn al-Aswad.
Kharija witnessed the conquest of Egypt, it is said: he was a judge for Amr ibn al-As, and it is said: he was on a stipend for him in Egypt. He remained in Egypt until one of the three Kharijites who were sent to kill Ali, Mu'awiyah, and Amr was killed him, thinking he was Amr. When he was killed, he was taken and brought to Amr ibn al-As, who said: Who killed you? It was said: Kharija, so he said: I wanted to kill Umar, but Allah replaced him with Kharija.
It is said: rather, Amr ibn al-As said to the Kharijite, and it is said: that the Kharijite who killed Kharija in Egypt was Kharija ibn Hudhafah, the brother of Abdullah ibn Hudhafah, from the Banu Salm tribe, relatives of Amr ibn al-As, and he was not anything.

Allah has made it for you between the prayer of 'Isha and until the dawn.'
