Thabit ibn Zayd ibn Malik

B S: Thabit ibn Zayd ibn Malik ibn Ubayd ibn Ka'b ibn Abd al-Ashhal al-Ansari al-Awsi al-Ashhali brother of Sa'd ibn Zayd who witnessed Badr, his kunya was Abu Zayd.

Abbas ibn Muhammad ad-Duri said, on the authority of Yahya ibn Ma'in, he said: Abu Zayd who collected the Quran during the time of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ was named Thabit ibn Zayd.

Abu Umar said: I do not know anyone who said this except Yahya ibn Ma'in, and it was said otherwise.

The disagreement will be resolved regarding his kunyas, God willing.

It was narrated by Abu Umar, and Abu Musa.

And the opinion of Ibn Ma'in is questionable, if he made Abu Zayd who collected the Quran from the children of Abd al-Ashhal, then Anas said: He is one of my uncles.

So it would not be from them.
