Biography of Tha'labah ibn Zahdam

Thalaba ibn Zuhdam al-Tamimi al-Hanazli had his companionship, and he is counted among the Kufans.

He was narrated from by al-Aswad ibn Hilal, Sufyan al-Thauri narrated from al-Ash'ath ibn Abi al-Sha'tha', from al-Aswad ibn Hilal, from Thalaba ibn Zuhdam al-Hanazli, that he said: We came to the Prophet ﷺ in a group from Banu Tamim, and we reached him while he was saying: The hand of the giver is raised, begin with those you support: your mother, your father, your sister, your brother, then your closest relatives.

And he was narrated from by Shu'ba, and Zayd ibn Abi Anisah from al-Ash'ath, from al-Aswad, from a man from Banu Thalaba.

And he was narrated from by Abu al-Ahwas, from al-Ash'ath, from a man, from his father, from a man from Banu Thalaba.

He was narrated from by the three.

I said: There is no contradiction between his saying: from Thalaba, and from Hanazla, because Thalaba is the son of Yarb' ibn Hanazla, and he is the clan from whom the Muttammim are, and Malik ibn Nuwayra.
