Biography of Zubayb ibn Thalabah
Zabib ibn Tha'laba ibn 'Amr ibn Suwa' ibn Nabi ibn 'Abda ibn 'Adi ibn Jundub ibn al-'Anbar ibn 'Amr ibn Tamim al-Tamimi al-'Anbari.
He visited the Prophet, and he washed his head, face, and chest, and it was said: He was one of the Ghulam who 'A'ishah freed, and he used to travel to the desert on the road between Ta'if and Basra.
We were informed by Abu Ahmad 'Abd al-Wahhab ibn 'Ali ibn Sukaynah al-Sufi, with his isnad to Sulayman ibn al-Ash'ath, who said: Our informant Ahmad ibn 'Abda informed us, that 'Amr ibn Shu'ayb ibn 'Abd Allah ibn Zubyay informed us, from his father, from his grandfather Zubyay, who said: The Prophet ﷺ sent an army to the Banu al-'Anbar, and they took them by force, from the direction of Ta'if, and they brought them to the Prophet ﷺ Zubyay said: So I rode a bakra to the Prophet ﷺ, and I preceded them to the Prophet ﷺ, and I said: Peace be upon you, O Prophet of Allah, and the mercy of Allah and His blessings, your soldiers came to us, and they took us, and we had already surrendered and had our camels' ears pierced.
When the Banu al-'Anbar arrived, the Prophet of Allah ﷺ said to me: 'Do you have any proof against you?
