Biography of Khalad al-Ansari Abu Abd ar-Rahman
Usd al-Ghaba: Aban ibn Sa'id reported from Harith ibn Abu Usama, from Abd al-Aziz ibn Aban, who informed us that Walid ibn Abd Allah ibn Jamil reported from Abd al-Rahman ibn Khalad, from his father: 'The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) granted permission to Umm Warqa to lead the people of her house in prayer, and she had a muezzin.'
Harith also reported from Abd al-Aziz, from Walid, from Abd al-Rahman, from his father, from Umm Warqa: that she sought permission from the Prophet (peace be upon him).
Waki' also reported from Walid, from his grandmother, and Abd al-Rahman ibn Khalad, from Umm Warqa.
Many people reported from Walid, from his grandmother, but did not mention Abd al-Rahman.
Abu Naim and Abu Musa al-Jarrah reported it with the jimm as doubled.
[2 - Khalad al-Ansari]
Dhikr al-Ahlaq: Khalad al-Ansari was martyred on the day of Quraiza.
Manzur ibn Abu al-Hasan al-Tabari informed us with his chain of transmission to Abu Ya'la Ahmad ibn Ali, and Abu Ali Ahmad ibn Ibrahim al-Mawsili informed us, that Faraj ibn Fadala reported from Abd al-Khabir ibn Qais ibn Thabit ibn Qais ibn Shammass, from his father, from his grandfather, who said:
On the day of Quraiza, a man from the Ansar was killed, named Khalad, and it was said to his mother: 'Khalad has been killed.'
She came, weeping, asking about him, and it was said to her: 'Khalad has been killed, and you are coming weeping!' She said: 'If Khalad has been killed, I will not live.'
This was mentioned to the Prophet (peace be upon him) and he said: 'He has the reward of two martyrs.'
They said: 'O Messenger of Allah, why?' He said: 'Because the people of the Book killed him.'
It was reported by Ibn Mandah and Abu Naim
