Biography of Ziyad ibn Hudhra

B S: Ziyad b. Hudhayrah b. 'Amr b. 'Adi came to the Prophet ﷺ and accepted Islam at his hand, so the Messenger of Allah ﷺ called for him. His son, Tamim b. Ziyad, reported from him.

Ziyad b. Hudhayrah reported from his father, saying: The Companions of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ came to us, inviting us to Islam, and we fled from them. They caught up with us, and they brought us to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ in the Saby al-Bulawn. We accepted Islam at his hand, and he called for us, and he wiped the head of Ziyad and called for him.

He was narrated by Abu 'Umar and Abu Musa, except that Abu 'Umar corrected Hudhayrah with a hollow alif and a za' with a dot, and Abu Musa corrected it: Khidhrat with a dotted kh or Hadhrat with a hollow ha and a dhal.
