Biography of Sa'd ibn al-Mundhir
Sa'd ibn al-Mundhir had companionship, and his hadith was narrated by Hiban ibn Was'ah, from the narration of Ibn Lah'i'ah, from Hiban, from his father, from Sa'd ibn al-Mundhir.
He was narrated by Abu 'Umar in a concise manner, without attribution, and he was also narrated by Ibn Manda', who said: Sa'd ibn al-Mundhir ibn 'Amir ibn 'Adi ibn Kharsah ibn Umayyah ibn 'Amir ibn Khutmah al-Ansari, a Quraishi from the Badri generation, one of those who witnessed the battles.
And he narrated through his isnad, from Ibn Lah'i'ah, from Hiban ibn Was'ah, from his father, from Sa'd ibn al-Mundhir al-Ansari, that he said: O Messenger of Allah, do you recite the Quran in three ways? He said: 'If you are able,' so he recited it in that manner.
