Biography of Sa'id ibn Suwayd

Sa'id ibn Suwayd ibn Qays ibn 'Amir ibn 'Ubad, and it is said: 'Ubayd, which is correct, ibn al-Abhar, and he is Khadra' al-Ansari al-Khadri, and he is the brother of Samura ibn Jundub by his mother.

He was narrated from by his sons: 'Uqba, and 'Abd al-Malik, who was killed as a martyr on the Day of Uhud.

Al-Awza'i narrated from Abu 'Amir, from Rabi'a ibn Abi 'Abd al-Rahman, from 'Abd al-Malik ibn Sa'id ibn Suwayd, from his father, that the Prophet ﷺ was asked about the lost property, and he said: 'Recognize it by its year, then preserve its marks and its tracks, then benefit from it.'

The correct narration is that of Rabi'a, from Yazid, the mawla of al-Munbith, from Zayd ibn Khalid al-Juhani.
