Biography of Shaddad ibn Umayyah

Shaddad b. Amiyah al-Juhni Abu Uqba.

He was from the people of Hijaz, and he was a companion.

His son, Uqba, reported that he came to the Prophet ﷺ when he was an old man, and he presented him with honey, so the Prophet ﷺ said to him: 'Where did you get this from?', so he said: From Dhul-Dhalalah, so the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'No, but from Dhul-Huda', which is a valley near Yamama.

It was narrated by Ibn Mandah and Abu Naim.
