Definition of Flight (slave)

Allah says: 'When he fled (abaqa) to the laden ship' (As-Sâffât: 140).

One says 'abaqa al-'abd' (the slave fled) when he runs away.

A fugitive slave is 'âbiq', plural 'ubbâq'.

Ta'abbaqa: he hid like him.
